Registration information

Online entries will close on Wednesday 29 May 2019 at 5pm. Late entry fees apply after that time. Unfortunately we cannot accept online payments. This will need to be done at the Coober Pedy Council, either in person or over the telephone (08) 8672 4600.

We will take late registration and payment on the day at the start/finish hub.

Late registrations will be open from 9am and will close 30 minutes before the start of each event.

Entry fees

Entry fees help with the cost of providing event timing services, infrastructure and medical assistance.

Check-in and number pickup

We recommend competitors arrive at the race hub at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their event to allow time to pick up race numbers.

Race briefing

A race briefing for competitors will be held 15 minutes before the start of each event

Children are permitted to enter all events except the marathon.

Children over 10 years may enter the children’s fun run, but they are not eligible for prizes. Contact the marathon coordinator for more information or register on the day.

Competitors can take prams in their events but must complete the relevant questions on the registration form.

This event is one of the few foot races in South Australia where you can compete with your dog.

Dogs don’t need to be registered with the event but they do need to be on a lead at all times. Any dog posing a nuisance will be removed from the park.

Competitors who walk or run with a dog will start at the back of the field to ensure the dog does not interfere with other competitors.

Changing events

Competitors can edit their registration and change their preferred distance.

If you register for a long distance and change back to a shorter distance any difference in registration fees will not be refunded.

All distances must be finalised before competitors start racing.

Competitors must start at their correct starting times.

Facilities and services at the Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park

The marathon is a National Reconciliation Week event. We will be holding a free barbecue to celebrate.

Drinking water, tea and coffee will be available.

A kids’ activity tent will provide activities for children of all ages in between events and cheering on competitors.

More information about the event and training tips can be found in the GBM Participant Booklet 2019.
